Accountant (Solomon Iron Ore Project, WA)

We have recently been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Fortescue Metals Group for the Solomon Iron Ore Project in WA.  This is a milestone for RCR and we are now recruiting some key positions for this exciting and challenging project.

The project is a flagship development and, if you’re experienced in administration, it offers you a career-enhancing opportunity.  In this challenging Perth-based role, you’ll provide vital assistance to the Project Accountant.

In this role, your duties include:

•           Project and management reporting to finance and project stakeholders

•           Project cost control, monitoring and reporting

•           Preparation of contract claims

•           Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

As the successful candidate, you will:

•           Be degree qualified (CA / CPA studies highly regarded) with significant relevant experience, preferably from an Engineering or Construction environment

•           Have project accounting experience, or experience working in a project management office

•           Have extensive experience using SAP software

•           Possess advanced Excel skills

•           Have excellent communication skills

•           Have proven time management skills

•           Be willing to travel

•           Be proactive with an ability to operate autonomously

•           Have had exposure to statutory accounts and corporate tax
