Provides the skills and knowledge to perform basic first aid:
- Chain of survival
- Assessing the situation
- Signs of life
- Performing CPR
- CPR in special circumstances
- Special techniques for children and infants
- Demonstrate the Automatic External Defibrillator
- Reporting procedures
- Breathing emergencies including choking and asthma
- Severe allergic reaction
- Cardiac emergencies
- Shock
- Bleeding and wound care
- Infection control
- Evaluate emergency response
- Burns and scolds
