Electrical Design and Build

A key component to any well engineered and reliable plant is the electrical design and build.

RCR Energy has an in-house electrical division responsible for delivering electrical schematics and electrical design specifications to RCR Energy projects.

Client specifications are carefully assessed and integrated into the electrical design so that the new plant is fully compatible with existing client standards.

Electrical workshops in NZ and Australia manufacture PLC and relay-logic based control panels. These panels are constructed either using equipment as specified by the client or readily available industry standard equipment. All panels and installations comply with AS/NZS3000 Wiring Regulations.

Mechanical Design

The mechanical design team encompasses mechanical engineers, mechanical drafters and technical purchasing personnel.

Work undertaken includes all aspects of thermal plant design from initial proposal engineering through thermal and pressure parts design, equipment selection and procurement and all other aspects associated with delivering a turnkey energy project.

In addition to our own software routines developed over many years, we are also trained and licensed to use The Babcock & Wilcox suite of design software. These include thermal design and boiler circulation programmes.

Our main boiler fabrication plant in Dannevirke, NZ is set up especially to fabricate shell and tube and water tube boilers, and incorporates the following:
