Hot Air Heaters

RCR's indirect industrial air heaters come in a concentric shell (CC) and tubular (CT) designs. Fired on gas and oil these air heaters typically feed spray drying plants with hot, clean, process air and can operate to 430°C and output to 15MW.

Concentric Air Heater (CC models)

Indirect industrial air heater featuring a compact, strong and flexible design.

thumb_concentric-air-heater-.jpgThe Concentric Air Heater is a simple, low maintenance design consisting of a series of concentric shell plates to exchange heat and deliver clean process air at temperatures up to 420°C. Internal components are high temperature stainless steel including corrugated furnace walls to maintain air purity and hygiene whilst coping with elevated thermal stresses.

  • Output range: 300 kW – 3,000 kW
  • Temperature: up to 420°C
  • Fuel: gas fired (special oil version on request)

Tubular Air Heater (TT models)

For larger duties this hot air heater offers exceptional reliability in critical applications

thumb_cranked-tube-air-heater0001.jpgTubular Air Heaters consist of a ceramic lined combustion chamber followed by a fully stainless steel air-to-air heat exchanger configured in an innovative wave-form tubular design to minimise thermal stress across the heat exchanger. Flue gas recirculation is employed in the combustion process to reduce NOx and to temper and accurately control the heating temperatures ensuring long plant life despite arduous conditions. Very high operating efficiencies are possible with optional inclusion of recuperative air heater or economiser on exhaust of air heaters.

  • Output range: 2 MW – 12 MW
  • Temperature: up to 420°C
  • Fuel: gas fired (special oil version on request)
