This unit covers work involving the use of mechanical load shifting equipment and associated gear to move, place or secure a load.

Examples:

  • Movement of plant and equipment
  • Steel erection
  • Particular hoists
  • Placement of pre-cast concrete
  • Safety nets and static lines
  • ·Mast climbers
  • Perimeter safety screens and shutters
  • Cantilevered crane loading platforms
  • Inspection of fall restraint equipment

  • Course duration: 3 days
  • Training Outcome: Basic Rigging Statement of Attainment and WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence
  • Pre-requisites: minimum 18 years of age, prior completion of Dogging course
