This unit covers work involving the use of mechanical load shifting equipment and assocaited gear to move, place or secure a load.
Examples:
  • Movement of plant and equipment
  • Steel erection
  • Particular hoists
  • Placement of pre-cast concrete
  • Safety nets and static lines
  • Mast climbers
  • Perimeter safety screens and shutters
  • Cantilevered crane loading platforms
  • Inspection of fall restraint equipment
  • All hoists
  • Rigging of cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators
  • Tilt slabs, demolition and dual lifts

  • Course duration: 3 days
  • Training Outcome: Intermediate Rigging Statement of Attainment and WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence
  • Prerequisites: minimum 18 years of age, prior completion of Basic Rigging course
