Operate from elevated work platform

 This unit applies in all contexts to the preparation, positioning and operation of elevated work platforms in the extractive process in the open cut environment.

A boom-type elevating work platform means: a powered telescoping device, hinged device or articulated device or any combination of these used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work and which has a boom length of 11m or greater.

A boom-type elevating work platform with a boom height less than 11m does not require a certificate to operate.  However, proof of competency based training is required.

  • Training outcome: Elevating work platform Statement of Attainment and WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence
  • Prerequisites: minimum of 18 years of age
