This unit covers the lifting and positioning of loads using a mobile slewing crane up to and including a capacity of 60 Tonnes.



A slewing mobile crane means: a powered mobile crane incorporating a boom or jib that is capable of being slewed.

  • Course duration: 4 days
  • Training outcome: Crane - 60 Tonne Slewing (C6) Statement of Attainment and WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence
  • Prerequisites: Requires prior completion of Crane – Non Slewing (CN) course, minimum of 18 years of age

A C6 licence covers operation of C2 (20 Tonne slewing crane), CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) & CN (Non-Slewing Mobile Crane).  However, individual classes are not included on the C6 licence unless individual training and assessments have been completed.

The C2 assessment is the same as the C6, but different load charts apply).
