Quality Superintendent (Solomon Iron Ore Project, WA)

RCR has recently been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Fortescue Metals Group for the Solomon Iron Ore Project in WA.  This is a milestone for RCR and we are now recruiting some key positions for this exciting and challenging project.

The project is a flagship development and, if you’re an experienced Quality Superintendent, it offers you a career-enhancing opportunity.  In this site-based role, your primary objective will be to assist the Quality Manager in ensuring the timely fabrication of conforming process modules and their related structures, in accordance with the contract, specifications, standards, procedures and schedule.


Your responsibilities will include:
• Establishing and maintaining the Quality Control aspects of our integrated management system on site.
• Preparing and reviewing fabricator inspection and test plans.
• Resolving QC and technical issues with the fabricator directly.
• Conducting vendor assessments, as directed by the Quality Manager.

 To succeed, you must:
• Have a full understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards, such as AWS D1.1 and AS1554 SP.
• Have significant experience in construction projects.
• Have experience in the implementation of Quality Management Systems.
• Be a self-starter, able to work without close supervision
• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Have, as a minimum, CSWIP Level 2 Welding Inspector certification.
AINDT Level II in Radiology and an engineering discipline qualification will be highly regarded.
