E&I Superintendent (Solomon Iron Ore Project, WA)

RCR has recently been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract by Fortescue Metals Group for the Solomon Iron Ore Project in WA.  This is a milestone for RCR and we are now recruiting some key positions for this exciting and challenging project.


The project is a flagship development and, if you’re an experienced E&I Superintendent, it offers you a career-enhancing opportunity.  Reporting to the E&I Construction Manager, you’ll monitor, control and execute the coordination of all E&I phases of the Solomon Ore Processing Facilities Project.  To achieve this, you’ll be guiding a team of Supervisors and Leading Hands.


Specifically, your responsibilities will include:


• Overseeing aspects of site erection and commissioning
• Ensuring supervisors and their teams complete jobs to the highest standards and safe work practices
• Liaising with appointed subcontractors and suppliers
• Assisting in updating the project schedule on a regular basis
• Reporting on variations and budget overruns associated with the project

To succeed, you’ll have:


• A relevant trade certificate with significant experience in a resource sector environment
• Several years leadership and supervisory experience as an E&I Superintendent
• Experience in coordinating an overall project team of up to 150 members
• Solid understanding of project schedules and planning tools
• Experience in mentoring and developing people


As a well-rounded Superintendent, you’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels.  You must have a strong focus on Safety, with a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of HSE and Quality Management.  Naturally, you’ll possess a valid WA “A” Grade Electrical Licence, and you must have a current Drivers Licence.
