E&I Project Engineer

RCR has recently been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract by Fortescue Metals Group for the Solomon Iron Ore Project in WA.  This is a milestone for RCR and we are now recruiting some key positions for this exciting and challenging project.
The project is a flagship development and, if you’re an experienced E&I Project Engineer, it offers you a career-enhancing opportunity.  Reporting to the E&I Construction Manager, you’ll be working with a team of experienced Supervisors and Superintendents and you’ll provide support and coordination of all E&I project site requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and assisting in the compilation of workpacks prior to mobilisation
• Assisting in job planning of labour and materials
• Completing project reconciliation and production control labour and materials checks
• Maintaining and fostering further client relationships
• Raising and progressing RFIs / TQs / Trend Notices as required
• Working with the E&I Construction Manager and to ensure that scheduled dates are managed in line with competing schedules
• Managing the interface between manufacturing and site installation
• Managing sub-contract key component manufacturing

You must be a flexible, proactive engineer who’ll ensure that the project is well planned, organised and run to achieve both the client's and RCR's expectations, technically and fiscally.  You’ll have solid experience working on major projects involving process facilities, ideally with exposure to iron ore processing plants and materials handling systems.  You’ll have proven leadership capability, with excellent communication skills and a firm commitment to working safely.  A relevant tertiary qualification or trade certificate is mandatory.
You must also have:

• A sound understanding of relevant AS Standards and legislative requirements, as well as ISO quality and HSE requirements
• The ability to read and interpret all E&I related drawings
