Planner/Scheduler (Bunbury, WA)

RCR Mining Technologies  is currently seeking a Planner for our Bunbury and site based operations.
Due to an increase in major project works, the position is required to assist in the planning and scheduling phases of projects undertaken by RCR Mining Technologies. 
 
The successful candidate will:


• Carry out planning using Microsoft Project on operational activities performed by RCR Mining on multiple projects including but not limited to:

  •  Overall project planning.
  •  Workshop resource loading and capacity.
  •  Site works associated with shutdowns, installation and maintenance activities.
  •  Generic planning of equipment manufacture for tenders.

• Assist in the preparation of  tenders.
• Assist Project Managers and Engineers in ensuring projects are planned enabling on time deliverables to clients and completed in budget.
• Conduct daily updating of programs at site or remotely during outages. This would include subcontractors' programs loaded onto our main program.
• Maintain the workshop program. The program will be updated via information provided by Project Mangers.
• Liaise with the Engineering, Design, Workshops and QA departments to ensure accuracy in project planning and scheduling.
• Conduct internal training courses with our Project Managers, Estimators & Supervisors.
• Maintain templates for Project Managers, Estimators & Supervisors to access.
 

The ideal candidate will have:


• Excellent skills in using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Project and Primavera P3.
• Full understanding of the process required for manufacture of equipment and projects.
• Ability to integrate information from the operations personnel and clients.
• Excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and an ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to develop and execute plans with a focus on continuous improvement.
• A current driver’s licence.
• A ‘can do’ attitude to grow both professionally and personally.
