Project Manager - Rail (Sydney, NSW)

RCR Infrastructure's NSW Rail division are currently inviting applications from motivated and driven Project Manager’s to work with our NSW Rail business. These will be challenging and rewarding roles which form an integral part of our NSW Rail business.

Reporting to the NSW Rail Manager and based in Sydney, this role will take single point accountability for the development and delivery of a high profile Rail project. The main responsibilities will include participation in concept development and planning, scheduling, managing and co-ordinating major projects to ensure project objectives and agreed specifications are achieved in accordance with the program, resource requirements, budgets, quality and safety standards and customer expectations.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

 

•Planning and resource work packages to ensure a safe execution that adheres to environmental control and legislation.
•Single point accountability for project safety outcomes.
•Measuring/ monitoring project safety performance and implement pro-active initiatives to improve performance.
•Managing cost control and holds accountability for accurate Project Commercial Reports.
•Monitoring the supply chain to ensure maximum efficiencies and benefits are realised for the project.
•Managing schedule control and reporting.
•Managing the production of accurate, informative and robust monthly reports.
•Manages risk register and develops mitigation plans for implementation.
•Ensuring a robust project record/ document control system is in place and complied with.
•Close out projects/ elements of projects in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed commissioning and assurance processes.
•Determining the project activities, scope of works and technologies required for development and delivery of projects from design, staging and construction, testing and commissioning.
•Other duties as outlined in the PD.

 

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

 

•Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
•Up to 15 years project experience.
•Comprehensive knowledge of the standards and procedures for design, construction, testing and commissioning for major rail infrastructure projects.
•High level ability to forecast, manage and report on complex budgets and estimates.
•High level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to solve difficult problems on a regular basis, identifying causes and offering alternative solutions.
•Ability to effectively handle high stress environments with resilience and professionalism.
