Site Manager (Darwin, NT)

Our Haden division has become synonymous with quality, technical expertise and innovation in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical engineering and air conditioning. As such we are seeking applications from driven and competent Site Managers to join our talented team.
We are currently seeking applications from experienced and professional Site Manager with experience in the HVAC industry focusing on major construction contracts. This will be a challenging and rewarding role which forms an integral part of our Northern Territory Haden Business.

Reporting to the Construction Manager QLD/NT, this fixed-term contract role is based at Darwin and you will be required to live within the Darwin district full-time during the project and employment contract. You will be responsible for the management of all site activities including WHS reporting, site inductions and managing trades and deliveries.  You will be available to start as soon as possible and have considerable experience working within the HVAC industry within Australia.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

·       Management of all site activities including OHS reporting, site inductions along with managing trades and deliveries.
·        Ownership and accountability of delivering the project on time.
·        Management and coordination of all communication with the Stakeholders.
·        Holding regular site meetings with all trades.
·        Quality management of the installation and checking and sign off on delivery of equipment – in good order.
·        Conducting weekly progress reports and identifying in complete and defect works and notification to trades of these matters and any other non-conformance advice.
·        Notifying the project manager of any site issues impacting on program, including weather and instructions or restrictions from the client.
·        Managing key witness and hold points with the stakeholders, project managers and consultants.
·        Marking up AS BUILT drawings upon completion of works.
·        The works being managed and overseen are:
o   Mechanical – Ductwork, pipework, lagging.
o   Equipment – Chillers, Air Handling Units, pumps, fans etc.
o   Electrical – Main power upgrades and sub mains and general lighting.
o   Fire Services – Sprinklers and Dry sensors.
o   Builders work – construction of fencing, concreting, wall penetrations, roof construction, etc.
◦General – Painting, ceilings and drainage.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

•Minimum of ten years’ experience in the Construction Industry;
·         Trade Background
·         Construction White Card Required;
·         Car Licence;
·         Strong communication skills
·         Intermediate to advanced MS Project experience – programming
·         Strong knowledge of OHS policy & Procedures – Construction Industry
·         Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate
•Demonstrated experience operating in a professional environment delivering multiple products and services;
•Effective oral and written communication skills;
•Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships;
•High-level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to solve difficult problems on a regular basis, identifying causes and offering alternate solutions;
•Ability to effectively handle high-stress environments with resilience and professionalism.
