Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician (Canberra, ACT)

Our Haden division has become synonymous with quality, technical expertise and innovation in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical engineering and air conditioning. As such we are seeking applications from driven and competent Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technicians to join our talented team.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician to work with our ACT Haden Division. This will be a challenging and rewarding role which forms an integral part of our ACT business.
Reporting to the Branch Manager this role will be based in Canberra and will oversee the effective diagnosis of problems and performing work of a technical nature on air conditioning systems.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:


·         Service and preventative maintenance, with some travel required;
·         Diagnose faults;
·         Perform breakdown repairs;
·         Preventative maintenance;
·         Establish and maintain long-term client relationships;
·         Pro-actively address customer complaints;
·         Participate in minor work projects as required.

 

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

·         Demonstrated history of success in a technical Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician capacity;
·         A solid understanding of air conditioning principles and systems together with the relevant codes and industry standards which govern their installation and maintenance;
·         Offer a value-add customer service second-to-none;
·         Team player;
·         Professionalism;
·         A good understanding of safety;
·         A current ARC refrigerant handling licence;
·         A current, valid "C" grade Driver's Licence;
·         Refrigeration and air conditioning trade qualifications;
·         Minimum three years' experience in breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance;
·         Capacity to work on a full-time permanent hire basis and a 5-day, 38-hour week (reasonable overtime expected);
