Laser Cutting Operator (Salisbury, QLD)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laser Cutting Operator. This will be a challenging and rewarding role which forms an integral part of our business.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor this role is based in Salisbury, Queensland and you will be responsible for optimal operation of the manufacturing process during the shift in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

•Safely operate laser machines and support the Shift Supervisor to achieve required production targets effectively and efficiently;
•Operate the production process using approved procedures to ensure productivity is maximised and waste minimised;
•Monitor the performance of all tools, equipment and laser systems and report any defect or substandard equipment performance to the Shift Supervisor;
•Continually monitor the operation to maintain cutting quality to specification:
•Adherence to and active promotion of all company Quality Assurance/ Quality Control requirements;
•Other duties as outlined in the PD.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

•A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a similar role within a well-regarded manufacturing company or organisation would be preferred but not essential;
•Technical knowledge of the laser cutting process or CNC machine operation would be preferred, but not essential;
•High Risk Work Licence essential
•Ability to work various shifts from time to time
•Ability to respond to a changing work environment;
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products;
•Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised;
•Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation;
•Work effectively in a team environment;
•Effective communication skills and a positive attitude;
•Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
