Works Leading Hand (Traralgon, VIC)

With commercial and government organisations recognising the value of outsourcing, Resolve FM has focused on developing capabilities to service the more technically demanding, ‘hard service’ operations. 

As such we are seeking applications from qualified Works Leading Hands to join our talented team at Traralgon.
 
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Works Leading Hand to work with our Victoria Resolve FM Division to oversee the delivery of repair maintenance and project work for one of our major clients based at Traralgon in accordance with schedule of rates and specifications and within timeframe.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

 
•Oversee subcontractors and staff ensuring the delivery of repair maintenance and project work for our client properties is on time and in accordance with schedule of rates and specifications;
•Oversee subcontractors and staff ensuring the delivery of project work;
•Carry out general maintenance and carpentry works, when required;
•Inspection of all works for contract compliance;
•Manage customer relationship;
•Management of internal trades and subcontractors;
•Recruitment and management of staff;
•Hand over upon completion and management of defect liability period;
•Ensure compliance with contract audit requirements;
•Manage resource levels of contracts;
•Undertaking audits;
•Actively comply with company policy and procedure in regards to Health, Safety and the Environment including Site Specific SWMS and Toolbox talks;
•Stock control;
•Other duties as outlined in the PD.
 

 

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

 
•Demonstrated experience managing/supervising staff and sub-contractors;
•Intermediate to advanced computer skills including experience with the MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
•Effective oral and written communication skills;
•Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships;
•High-level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to solve difficult problems on a regular basis, identifying causes and offering alternate solutions;
•Ability to effectively handle high-stress environments with resilience and professionalism;
•Self-motivated with excellent time management;
•Current Victorian drivers licence.
