Boiler Control System Design

PLC & DCS Programming

RCR has proven experience working with IEC61131-3 programming languages, specifically Ladder Logic, Function Block diagrams, Sequence Function Charts and Structured text.

The SCADA system is a very important window into the automation system as it provides both operational information and assists with the diagnosis of mechanical / electrical faults.  

 

Remote Monitoring

With the use of modern remote monitoring systems, technical upgrades and system tuning is able to be carried out remotely. This is supported by RCR’s automation engineers who are located throughout New Zealand and Australia and network of subcontractors throughout the Pacific. 

 

PID Loop tuning

In addition to the use of advanced PID loop tuning software, RCR offer a tuning service that reduces process variability and increases efficiency.

 

Burner Management Systems

With the new solid state burner management system from Weishaupt, RCR is also able to integrate burner-flame safeguard control, electronic cam-less control and valve tightness control into a single control unit that delivers the performance, compactness and value.  These solid state control systems can be networked with site-wide control systems allowing remote monitoring of burner performance and fault diagnostics.

 

RCR is able to provide engineering services for the design and implementation of Safety Instrumented Systems including full burner management systems in accordance with local regulations and international safety standards (e.g. IEC/AS 61508 and IEC/AS 61511) for various and multiple fuels.

RCR maintains an active membership of IPENZ (Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand) for our engineers and are members of ISA (International Society of Automation).
